What you see and what has been said about 2019 Porsche 911 is that it will use new foundations. But little is known to date, the main thing we expect to see the powertrain updated. They will focus on updating the vehicle’s power and adding new components to the gas engine. But what could happen is to add a hybrid powertrain version. This is a natural step for many Porsche vehicles and there are many others who have decided to do the same thing
Exterior and Interior
A glance at this prototype just note that there is not a regular 2019 Porsche 911 Cabriolet model. Although it has a soft top, the most stylish features are borrowed more hardcore 2019 Porsche 911, which is available only in coupe format. The bumper appears to be identical to the GT3 model, with long sided vent holes and a wide center entrance flanked by two additional openings. The separator also seems to be similar, but larger than the usual 2019 Porsche 911. The rear fenders are also wider than usual, while the rear bumper has a central exhaust mounted with two tubes, like the GT3. Exhaust pipes are smaller in the prototype, but that could change in the production model. The engine hood has a unique and somewhat uncomfortable spoiler. This seems too big for the car, but maybe it is still developing. Unfortunately, the hood is in place so that we can not see the specific Speedster coverage, but the shape of the top of the platform suggests that this prototype is composed of two seats. The upper part of the platform is also different and does not have the engine of the grid that is in the cabriolet. What is more important, the hinged lid is located closer to the ground, suggesting that uses a more rigid sport suspension and configuration.
The interior of the Speedster remains a mystery of this moment and does not spy sports car cab images. Okay, you have the same design and features as any other generation 2019 Porsche 911, but it remains to be seen if you have a standard design or function of the 2019 Porsche 911 configuration. With the exterior based on the latter, the interior could also have similar characteristics. Or it could be a hybrid between the 2019 Porsche 911 standard and the GT3. Anyway, wait for it to be a bit sportier than the 2019 Porsche 911 Carrera base. I think limited edition racing T is a good start, because the coupe is equipped with race inspired features. Sport Plus seats package was standard, and added more sport, adjustable four way seats with integrated headrests and contrast stitching. Full bucket seats are optional on the Carrera T and would also be a good option in the Speedster. Porsche could make things better with weight saving measures by handgrips by replacing standard doors with fabric buckles and using a thinner acoustic insulation under the skin. Other improvements over the regular Carrera GT might include sport steering with leather trim and a switch to select the driving mode and a shorter shift lever with a red relief movement pattern. From a technological point of view, the list of standard equipment could include Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with real time online navigation and traffic information, the Connect Precision Plus Track and Application module. The latter allows the 2019 Porsche 911 display controllers to record and analyze detailed data on their driving smart phones.
The previous Speedster used the same engine as the Carrera GTS, so we can assume that Porsche would take the same route with the new model. If this happens, the Speedster will be on the streets with a 3.0 liter inline six cylinder engine developing 450 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. In combination with a seven speed PDK transmission, the engine should allow the Speedster to reach a speed of 60 mph in about 3.7 seconds. If Porsche also offers a manual, you will get the same reference in about four clicks. Moreover, according to rumors, Porsche may want to use the 2019 Porsche 911 six liter aircraft. Also shared with the GT3 Cup race car, the naturally aspirated engine generates 500 horsepower and 339 pounds of torque. Combined with the PDK transmission, the engine pushes the 2019 Porsche 911 from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Well, the Speedster will not be as fast as it will be heavier and less aerodynamic, but it should get there in 3.5 clicks. The manual model will be slower, but you should still reach the reference point in less than four seconds. The steering system of the active rear axle could be offered as an option. When driving in the opposite direction or in the same direction as the front wheels, depending on the speed, improve vehicle agility and stability.
Price and Release Date
We still have a lot of lead, so the price of the 2019 Porsche 911 remains difficult to determine. But the outgoing vehicle is offered on a base MSRP of $ 89,400, so the 2019 version could reach $ 100,000. The Turbo could generate a price of $ 160,000 and the Turbo S $ 190,000.
