The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has almost no advantage. The compact sedan is spacious, comfortable, well made and offers good value for money. But the 2019 Jetta does not unite with its driver as we expected small cars of German brand, including cousin VW Golf Jetta. The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is available in S, SE, R Design, SEL and Premium SEL versions. It is based on the VW Golf’s rear window constructions in Mexico, but there are key differences between the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta sedan and the Golf in terms of power, technology and suspension design.
Exterior and Interior
The exterior of the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta follows the convention of the sedan, with clean and elegant proportions and traces of extravagance. Even their wheel designs (alloys of 16 and 17 inches, depending on the level of finish) hardly reach the stars. Standard LED headlights give you a different view at night; SEL moldings have more sophisticated LED projectors with ambitious strobe lights with halo effect. All versions of the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta come standard with six airbags, stability control, a reversing camera and a post crash braking system that stops the brakes if it detects that the vehicle has been hit. For a low price of $ 450, the Jetta S can be equipped with a driver assistance system that includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot sensors, reverse traffic alerts and heated mirrors. It’s money well spent, if you ask us, and we applaud VW for extending the option to automatic and manually equipped 2019 Volkswagen Jetta’s. The Jetta SE and above models come standard with all this equipment, while the SEL incorporates an adaptive cruise control with flashing lights for automatic headlamps with automatic low beam and active lane control.
Inside, the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta board points to the driver; his inclination is not as noticeable from the captain’s chair as from the passenger seat. The result is a large stretch for passengers to adjust the volume of the radio. Most ornaments use a 6.5 inch touchscreen, but SELs change this for an 8.0 inch unit with a shiny glass screen that matches the 10.25 inch widescreen display that replaces it conventional analog meters. High specification 2019 Volkswagen Jetta’s. Drivers and passengers are not involved in the steering class, but the center console is stuck in the legroom and the seats lack lumbar support. We love the upholstery fabric on the Jetta S more than the synthetic leather of the SE, R Design and SEL versions. The exclusive premium Jetta SEL has leather that is probably made of rubber cows and greatly benefits from adjustable lumbar support, something that is left out of the rest of the range. The rear passengers have easy access thanks to the wide rear doors and the space in the legs is above average for a compact car. The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta’s 14.1 cubic foot trunk swallows suitcases on the same footing as other compact, but lacks the flexibility of increasingly popular hatchbacks and SUVs, including VW’s own Golf. The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta we drove felt strongly connected to a mix of materials inside. The smooth adjustment of the door and board clashes with the occasional chintzy plastic brush, but in general, the interior of the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is suitable for the price.
Rivals such as the Honda Civic and Mazda 3 have more personality than the serious 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. All versions use a 2019 1.4 liter turbo 4 2019 Volkswagen Jetta emitting a modest 147 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The turbo engine develops power quickly and quietly, and combines well with the 8 speed automatic transmission installed in most 2019 Volkswagen Jetta output from the VW assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico. A 6 speed manual transmission is standard on the Jetta S and deserves to be sought after because of its clear gearshift action and its light and easy clutch. However, the 6 speed does not make the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta a corner sculptor. The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta uses the same rigid structure that we loved in golf, but here, comfort is a priority over toughness. Its mild suspension swallows the roads with smallpox marks, but may feel slow to recover after the crossings. Under the trunk of the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is a unique torsion bar rear suspension, a design not installed in the similar Golf sedan. There is nothing wrong with the design of the smoothly driven torsion bar, but when pushed it does not allow the rear wheels to work with the same independence as the common multi arm configurations as it is used in the Golf . There is a reason why the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta costs $ 2,000 less than the Golf. The fast and precise steering provided by the three spoke wheel is installed in a soft and comfortable place for cruising in a straight line. The Jetta SEL and SEL premium models have four modes of operation, something strangely absent from the sporty style, but not the sporty design Jetta R Design. Set to “sport”, the direction of the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has been pleasurably reaffirmed by the thrust by a winding road and remains fast and light in a parking lot. Do not look at the Jetta R Design for more zip or zoom; share the rest of the suspension smoothly from the alignment. Its electronic differential helps better distribute power between the front wheels in difficult turns, but with only 147 horsepower, its work is easy.
