The introduction of the 2020 Range Rover Evoque was a surprise for the British manufacturer. Yes, it was a gamble, but the British knew what cards they had in their hands. In 2012, when 2020 Range Rover Evoque was born for the first time, many thought it would be a failure. Because? Well, the car had that style and luxury that comes with Land Rover vehicles, but it lacked off-road capability. But, it has been shown that they were wrong. This crossover has attracted more customers than anyone expected. It was even sold to people who were not used to buying vehicles of this brand. With the 2020 Range Rover Evoque, they hope to further increase the number of buyers. Returning to its beginnings, it is hard to believe that 2020 Range Rover Evoque was published six years ago. He always has the same freshness and elegance that isolated him from other similar vehicles. But Land Rover does not want to sit on old achievements but wants to build for the future. With this in mind, they have already started testing the new 2020 Range Rover Evoque.

Exterior and Interior

This 2020 Range Rover Evoque test mule is camouflaged on the front, suggesting that Jaguar Land Rover has an updated fascia on the road. Not only that, but the air intakes seem larger, perhaps to help with cooling. This makes sense, since 2020 Range Rover Evoque is likely to have a turbodiesel and a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Not only that, but this mule seems a bit wider than the current 2020 Range Rover Evoque, suggesting a stretched track to increase the area in the engine compartment and the interior. The wheelbase seems unchanged. At the rear, the rear bumper is covered with a black trim with two ports covered with aluminum for the exhaust. The yellow warning sign for high voltage electricity is also clearly visible. Obviously, this suggests a hybrid system. Our photographer was in fact able to shoot two different test mules running evaluation tests, as well as both covered in white camouflage and missing his fuel door. Interestingly, both are covered with more camouflage than the previous tester we saw in February 2017. Our best guess is that these new test mules are closer to the state of production and have redesigned body panels , while the previous model, even it was close. These new testers seem to retain the largest air intakes seen in previous testers, turned off. Again, we bet is to help the cooling of the hybrid powertrain, with a more aggressive look. The updated headlights and taillights will be based on LED technology for a brighter appearance and better night lighting.

While our photographer could not take spy photos from inside the upcoming 2020 Range Rover Evoque, we expect the new luxury crossover to receive the new Land Rover Touch Pro Duo infotainment system. This new system essentially takes all the standard controls normally present in the center console and integrates them into two large screens. The top screen is like a classic Land Rover Infotainment, while the lower part contains the HVAC and Terrain Response 2 controls in an uninterrupted unit. HVAC commands have a dual function depending on the currently displayed page. On the HVAC page, the dual zone temperature controls obviously work. On the Terrain Response page, the choice of terrain and the air suspension system work. The wider track of the new 2020 Range Rover Evoque will add an interior volume and more comfort for the passenger. Elbowroom will improve, giving the luxury crossover a more exclusive set of dimensions. At this point, it seems that the wheelbase does not change, so expect the same amount of legroom. The rear cargo space will improve, but only slightly, thanks to the expanded track. More luxury features are not excluded either. More interior color choices, options and additional features like leather seats with heating and ventilation in the four positions would be a welcome addition, but not surprising.

Engine

JLR will continue to use its family of Ingenium petrol and turbo diesel engines. These engines use an all-aluminum construction and are based on a .500cc displacement range, allowing for easy scalability. For 2018, the 2020 Range Rover Evoque received two new four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-liter. The standard version has 237 horsepower and 251 lb / ft of torque, while the optional high-performance version has 286 horsepower and 295 lb / ft of torque. We hope that both versions will remain unchanged for the next generation of 2020 Range Rover Evoque. Land Rover says the 2.0-liter high performance will push the 2020 Range Rover Evoque to 60 mph in six seconds and up to a top speed of 144 mph. Interestingly, the 286-hp version currently only offered in four-door trim levels Evoque Dynamic HSE and Autobiography. The engines are also accompanied by a more aggressive body that denotes extra power under the hood. It is very likely that the distension method will continue in the next generation. As for the plug-in hybrid version, we expect the 237 horsepower 2.0-liter is paired with the same hybrid system found in the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport P400e P400e. Both use a 114 hp electric motor combined with 13.1 kWh ion battery power lithium to propel the SUV up to 31 miles of fully electric conduction and speeds of up to 85 mph. A turbodiesel version of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder is also available in the current generation, but only outside the United States. Price and release date
